Corporate Photography in London

Portrait photography in the corporate world is more than mere a headshot. The idea is to capture the likeness and a little of the personality of the subject. In a world where everyone looks online to research the person they are about to meet, having a good photographic portrayal is increasingly important for people who need to look both professional and approachable.

Often the portraits are of a small team, or else they are of the individual. Always, the importance is to be truthful in the image. We need to be recognised when we meet potential clients or customers. We need them to think well of us before the meeting. My job is to consistently deliver quality portraits that show the person as a professional and interesting individual.

Personal Branding Photography

The term personal branding is used for portrait photography in the business world. We all need an image online these days and my business is to make you look real and professional.

My photography tends to be in the field. I don’t have a studio although I have access if this is needed. However, I strongly believe that my photography is at its best when I am on location. It’s about making thing s look real and truthful. I believe this makes the difference between a photo that looks like any other, and a photo that shows you as a unique individual. It’s about being memorable.

Corporate Headshots

The choice of corporate headshot photography tends to be whether the photos are against a white backdrop or in an environment. The photos that show the company in the background are great, but often companies need the standardisation that comes with the white background. Every shot is the same and it’s easy to add new staff to the website, especially so if different photographers are used, which can create problems with continuity.

I can deliver headshots in a location environment or with a white/coloured backdrop. I have a portable lighting set which can be brought to the company and each staff member will take about ten minutes for the photo.

I take a selection of photos and encourage both serious expressions and smiling expressions as a part of encouraging the client to relax. Often a very faint smile delivers the best photo, as it looks approachable while remaining serious and professional. However, the choice of photos is with the company.

Canary Wharf Photographer

I live in Wapping within sight of Tower Bridge, so I find the whole of London is approachable for me. I grew up in East London so I saw Canary Wharf emerge from the desert of my childhood to the glittering three-dimensional cityscape of the modern day. I find it inspiring.

The City is on my doorstep and the West End is very nearby. I also drive to Kent and Essex regularly for assignments.

Corporate Event Photographer

Whether it’s the boss’s speech, or the staff receiving an award, photography at corporate events is a great way to reward staff and to inform others that this is a great place to work.

My photography is natural, not forced. I like to capture the atmosphere of the event and the personalities of the people. I do that by fitting in, chatting, socialising, and making it clear to everyone that I’m there for them, not just the company, If they want selfies, I give them selfies. However, I’m at my best when I’m snapping away without people realising I’m taking their photo. That’s when I capture their character in my pictures.
