Danson House is a beautiful Georgian Villa, set in more than 200 acres of magnificent parkland overlooking the sparkling Danson Lake, it is the perfect location for your wedding or ceremony.

Wedding photos in a Palladian Villa

Grade I listed Palladian villa was officially re-opened by HM Queen Elizabeth II in July 2005. Danson House was originally designed by architect Sir Robert Taylor, the architect of the Bank of England. Set in more than 200 acres of magnificent parkland overlooking the sparkling Danson Lake, it is the perfect location for bride and groom pictures.

The Dining Room Wedding photos

The Dining Room is one of four rooms for ceremonies in this wedding venue. This is the larger of the four, with a capacity for 65 guests plus the registrar and the bride and groom. The rooms have a capacity of twelve, twenty-five, and forty-five guests.  

Bexley Registry Office Photos

Danson House is the official Register Office for the London Borough of Bexley. Photography is allowed through the building. This wedding venue is run by Kent County Council on behalf of the London Borough of Bexley. The registry office offers ceremonies including Weddings, Citizenship, Renewal of vows, notice of marriage appointments, and the registration of births and deaths. There is also a separately managed tea room at the back of the house, who cater to smaller private functions within their space.

Danson House bride and groom photos

There are two locations in Danson Park which are excellent for a romantic couple shoot. The English Garden located opposite Danson Mansion and by the Lake. Please note if you are getting married at Danson House or have your wedding reception in the Boathouse and are having photographs taken in the park you must apply for a licence.

 

Knowle Country House wedding photos

For wedding photos, there is little better than a Victorian Gothic Mansion set in 14 acres of orchards and old Victorian gardens. The intimate surroundings and quiet luxury are complemented by the friendly and relaxed atmosphere, where emphasis is placed on English fayre, fresh produce and a regularly changing menu for private parties and Wedding Receptions.

A superb glass conservatory with a bar is perfect for a disco. The garden includes a gazebo and surrounding patio used for outside ceremonies.

Knowle Country House

Built in 1840 by the rector of Higham and now a beautiful wedding venue and Country House restaurant. Charles Dickens purchased it in 1856. Sweep along the driveway and you will be captivated by the charm and elegance of our fine Victorian Mansion set in one of the most beautiful and historically interesting venues in Kent.

An ideal wedding location

Under an hour’s drive from Central London and superb train links, we can accommodate weddings with up to 98 guests with capacity for an additional 72 guests in the evening. We have a large carpark, discreetly hidden in our grounds with ample parking for all your guests.
