Fulham Palace Wedding photos

For wedding photography, Fulham Palace is one of the great London marriage venues. The mix of Tudor and Georgian architecture makes a beautiful backdrop for photographs of the bride and groom, bridesmaids and pageboys.

Fulham Palace Nigerian Wedding

Vivian and Victor were a beautiful Nigerian bride and groom who were married in nearby Holy Cross Catholic Church in Parson Green, then had a reception in Fulham Palace, with the feast and cutting of the wedding cake photographed in a marquee within the palace and the first dance in the building itself.

Family wedding photos in the Tudor Courtyard

The bride and groom arrived in a vintage Bentley for the family and group photos in the red-brick Tudor courtyard, which dates back to 1495. The fountain makes a wonderful centre for the location, which was restored in 2006 at a cost of £4 million. Vivian posed for a beautiful solo photo under the red-brick entrance arch.

Photos in the walled Garden

Vivian chose the venue after she fell in love with the walled garden. A 3.5-acre expanse of trees and flowers, fruits and shrubs, surrounded by a high brick wall. The walled garden dates to the mid-18th century when Bishop Terrick redesigned much of Fulham Palace’s landscape. Bridesmaids and close family gathered for the photos, amongst the colourful flowers and trellis of apple trees the length of the central path, then romantic photos of the wedding couple against the backdrop of the greenhouses were the most successful pictures.  The garden at Fulham Palace is one of the most important botanical gardens since the 16th century and is the second oldest in London.

Nigerian dress change photos

It was a baking hot day in July 2021, with temperatures reaching 30’. VIvian’s wedding dress had a train with a length of over fifteen feet, which looked beautiful and it flowed behind her as she walked down the aisle..

But with the day so hot, it was lucky that the custom of Nigerian weddings is that the bride and groom change into tradition dress for the meal and dancing. When they appeared, the wedding guests took out their phones to capture photos of the couple looking so grand in their traditional Nigerian clothes.

Chelsea Harbour Hotel bridal preparations

Vivian and VIctor stayed at the Chelsea Harbour hotel with beautiful views of the river Thames both before and on the night of the wedding. I was able to capture the fun photos of the bride getting ready, as well as some still shots of the wedding dress and accessories.
